Color flow Doppler echocardiographic loops from right parasternum showing blood flow through mitral valve. Left atrium is on right and left ventricle is on left side of images. Red- and blue-labeled flow is normal, whereas flow labeled with a mosaic pattern (multiple colors) is consistent with high-velocity flow. In untreated affected individual (A), note mosaic color pattern in left atrium consistent with moderate MR. However, in normal (B), RV-treated (C), and HGV/RV-treated (D) individuals, there is no abnormal flow detected.
