- Movie I
-
(MPG) (1.6 MB). Formation of endothelial cell networks in the cardiac cell sheets.
By including GFP-positive ECs (4 x 105) in the cardiomyocyte cultures, the ECs formed cell networks that possessed a sprouting morphology throughout the pulsatile cardiac cell sheets at 4 days.
- Movie II
-
(MPG) (3.6 MB). Transplantation of endothelial cell co-cultured cardiac cell sheets.
The layered cardiac tissue grafts were placed on a support sheet and transplanted directly over the anterior wall including the infarcted area. The layered cell sheets formed stable attachment to the cardiac surface without the need for sutures.
