In the article by Page, et al that appeared in a previous issue of the journal (Circulation. 1998;97:14291430), sentences 35, page 1429, should have appeared as follows:
"A flight attendant brought out the on-board automatic external defibrillator (AED; "ForeRunner," Heartstream) and was assisted by a passenger with paramedic training. The device was applied and successfully defibrillated the patient with a single 150-J biphasic shock (see Figure). The patient regained pulse and blood pressure and was never intubated. His first blood pressure measurement was 130/92 mm Hg."
In the same article, author affiliations should have appeared as:
"From the Department of Medicine (Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology), The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (R.L.P., M.H.H.), and American Airlines (D.K.M.)."
In the same article, in the figure legend, the first sentence should have appeared as:
"Playback of electrogram and device activity as recorded on PC memory card from automatic external defibrillator." Also, "p waves" should have appeared as "P waves."
