The 71st Scientific Sessions of the American Heart Association were held in Dallas, Tex, November 8 through 11, 1998. A traditional highlight of the annual AHA Scientific Sessions is the recognition of excellence in clinical and basic cardiovascular research via the Scientific Councils' distinguished lectureships, awards, and Young Investigator competitions. The awardees and nominees for these distinguished lectureships, awards, and Young Investigator competitions.
