(Power Point) (133 KB) Cardiosphere phenotype. Cardiospheres were paraffin-embedded and sectioned prior to immunostaining to verify the results obtained in whole mount staining. Fluorescence confocal analysis of human cardiospheres in section for: c-Kit, CD105, and connexin 43. All show a staining pattern similar to that seen in Fig. 2 for cardiospheres in whole mount.
- Figure II
-
(Power Point) (79.5 KB) Fibroblast phenotype. Flow cytometric analysis performed using human skin fibroblasts. Isotype control histograms are depicted with a red fill.
- Figure IIIA
-
(TIF) (8.26 MB) Calculating regeneration. Masson's Trichrome staining is shown for a representative CDC-injected mouse. The total infarct zone is outlined in yellow in IIIB and IIIC.
- Figure IIIB
-
(TIF) (2.18 MB) Calculating regeneration. Areas of fibrosis are shown in red after image processing.
- Figure IIIC
-
(TIF) (2.18 MB) Calculating regeneration. Areas of viable myocardium are shown in red after image processing. Six sections were analyzed per animal and an average taken.
- Movie I
-
(AVI) (7.91 MB) Baseline echocardiogram. Example echocardiogram is shown for a mouse at baseline, prior to surgery.
- Movie II
-
(AVI) (9.02 MB) Echocardiogram 2 days post-infarction. Example echocardiogram is shown for a mouse 2 days after surgery and myocardial infarction.
- Movie III
-
(AVI) (4.72 MB) CDC-injected mouse echocardiogram. Example echocardiogram is shown for a CDC-injected mouse at 20 days. Note the motion in the anterior wall 20 days after infarction.
- Movie IV
-
(AVI) (7.88 MB) Fibroblast-injected mouse echocardiogram. Example echocardiogram is shown for a fibroblast-injected mouse at 20 days.
